Denver, July 25—The approaching connection of the deep drainage tunnel with the El Paso workings, and the expected unwatering of most of the deep mines of Cripple Creek, is stimulating new operations in a large degree.

An officer of the Moon Anchor company is authority for the statement that the big three-compartment shaft on that property will be sunk an additional 250 feet, 1060 feet in all, in an effort to locate the lost ore shoot, which, prior to 1898, produced a million dollars in gold.
The shoot was lost at the 500 foot point, but it is thought that it will again appear when bed rock is reached.
