Maggie Rich Strike Improving
The strike made recently by Carl Johnson, lessee on the Maggie property on Raven hill, is improving with development work and exceedingly rich ore is still showing strong in the core of the vein opened up. Assays made of samples from a 2-in. streak returned $47, $54 and $68 to the pound, while a 4-in. seam still carries values of from $16 to $24 a pound.
The vein, which ranges in width from 4 to seven ft., gives returns of from 142 to 5 ozs. gold to the ton on either side of the rich core.

Maggie Lessee Made Important Rich Strike
A most important strike has been made in the Maggie property, located in the saddle between Bull and Raven hills, with the ore just opened up going as high as $50,000 in gold to the ton.
The discovery was made by Carl Johnson, lessee, at a depth of 200 ft. and at a point 150 ft. south of the shaft. The vein carrying the high-grade ranges in width, it is said, from five to seven ft. and has a four-in. seam showing large cubes of free gold.
