Gold Geyser Mill Experiments with Caledonia Ore
CALEDONIA MILL IS AT WORK.
—————————
The old Gold Geyser mill, recently purchased from the Gold Geyser company by Mr. Weicher, manager of the Caledonia, has been started up, and while it is yet in the experimental stage, Mr. Weicher thinks it stands a show of proving a success.
As has been stated in these columns, it is intended to handle the enormous dump of the Caledonia if it can be made to save the values.

GOLD GEYSER PURCHASED

CALEDONIA HAS A BIG DUMP OF VALUABLE ROCK
—THIS MILL WILL BE USED IN ITS TREATMENT
—PRESIDENT CHAPIN MADE THE SALE.
—————————
A deal was consummated yesterday by which the Gold Geyser mill, located in the gulch below the city, passed into the hands of the Caledonia Gold Mining company.
The Gold Geyser has not worked except for a few days at a time on rare occasions for the past two years. It will now undergo a thorough overhauling at the hands of Superintendent Weicher, and will be used to continue experiments on the dump of the Caledonia mine.
This dump is of great size, and is reputed to be of exceptional richness. At any rate, the owners have for years consistently refused to lease it, and some of the most expert dump pickers in the camp have tried to get a lease on it.
The mill is located on the banks of the stream of Cripple Creek, less than half a mile from the mine, and with an excellent road connecting them. The location is an excellent one, either for the purpose of conducting experiments, or for enlarging the mill for the extensive treatment of ore, if such a step be found desirable.
The Caledonia company was represented by Superintendent Weicher, while the Gold Geyser Mining and Milling company was represented by President C. C. Chapin.
The company is a Chicago concern, while the Caledonia is owned in London.
