Little Giant Mill to Work District Low-Grade Ore
Treatment of Dump Ore / Low Rate of Transport Secured.
It is stated that the Little Giant Mining & Milling Co., operating a cyanide mill in Pony gulch, south of the city of Cripple Creek, has obtained a flat rate of 75c. per ton from the allied railroads for the transportation of ore from any mine or dump within the district to bins to be erected at the nearest railroad point to the Little Giant mill.
Any mill in the district handling low-grade custom ores, it is understood, will obtain the same rate.
The Little Giant mill should be now capable of running for several years, owing to the large number of dumps and mines, having low-grade orebodies, that are contiguous to the railroad.
This concession will make the total cost of transporting ore from any mine or dump in the district, contiguous to the railroad, to the mill about $2 per ton, so that ores running from $4 upward can be treated at a profit.

Pony Gulch New Cyanide Mill at Little Giant Brings Hopes of Prosperity
Colorado Springs, Nov. 24.—Construction work on the new cyanide mill, which is to be erected by the Giant Mining Company, down Pony Gulch, west of Cripple Creek, is to be started now within a short time.
General Manager of the Company D. B. Burch has returned from a trip East, where he raised all the necessary cash to complete the erection of the plant and to demonstrate that the low-grade ores of that section will readily yield their gold contents to the cyanide process.
The deposits of low-grade ore in that section already opened up is wonderful. The extent of the bodies of ore has not been determined as yet, but it has been demonstrated by the Little Giant Company on their ground alone there is thousands upon thousands of tons of ore that will readily yield its gold to the cyanide process.
This mill, once in operation, means that the producing area of the district will be widened nearly two miles in that direction, and if the ore on the Little Giant Company's territory proves to be a paying proposition several other companies are ready to invest the money and erect similar mills, so later it is probable that a new town will be located in that section and many of their workmen will reside there.

New Cyanide Plant.—It is announced that the Giant Mining Company will shortly commence construction work on a new cyanide plant to be erected near Pony gulch.
There are known to be large deposits of low grade ore in that section of the camp and in the event of the successful operation of this plant it is probable that similar mills will be erected close by.

Little Giant Mill Construction Work to Start Soon
Little Giant.—It is reported that construction work on the big cyanide plant to be erected by this company in Pony gulch is to be started very shortly. Advices from the east indicate that sufficient money has been raised for the project.
When these works are completed the monthly gold output of the district will be raised, as there are many thousands of tons exposed in the workings, the ore in which will yield readily to the cyanide process.
C. B. Birch is general manager of the company.
