Now that the electric-car line and Short Line steam-road have ceased operation, the Lincoln Mines & Reduction Co. provides auto transportation to and from its Ironclad Hill mine and mill without charge.

The Lincoln Mines & Reduction Co. has started underground development of the Ironclad Hill properties of the Rex M. & M. Co., held under bond and lease.
The Lincoln company's mill is on this ground and will shortly be operating. Recent tests have proved the newly developed Gasche process to be suitable for the treatment of ores from the Ironclad Hill mine.

Mine operations have been commenced by the Lincoln Mines & Reduction Co. on the Magna Charta claims on Ironclad hill, which are owned by the Rex. M. & L. Co.
The Lincoln company is operating under bond and lease and has constructed a milling-plant on the group.

The Lincoln Mines & Reduction Co. has installed electric lights on its leased property on Ironclad hill and two shifts are now working on a body of manganese ore recently uncovered.
Machinery is ordered and construction plant on the concentrator has commenced.

The Lincoln Mines & Reduction Co. has graded a site and is now laying foundations for a concentrating plant on the property of the Rex Gold M. & M. Co., on Ironclad hill, the scene of the recent manganese discovery. The first unit will have a daily capacity of 100 tons.

Homestake Mills Leased.
A five-year lease has recently been granted to the Phoenix Leasing Co. by A. W. Grant, receiver of the Cripple Creek Homestake Mining & Milling Co., on the Ironclad, Annex, and Pard claims, and the larger of the two Homestake mills.
Mining operations will be started at once. It is expected that the mill will be overhauled and put in shape for the hauling of ore by March. The royalties range from 5 to 20 %.

About 12 months ago a similar lease was granted on the Magna Charta and Quartzite claims and the smaller mill, to the Ironclad Leasing Co. This mill has a capacity of 150 tons per day and has been operated very successfully during the last year.

That section of the Cripple Creek district embraced in parts of Ironclad and Gold hills is to undergo treatment not unlike that accorded the Black hills of South Dakota, to which it is not dissimilar.
One of the companies which will investigate its resources is the Cripple Creek & Homestake, which will commence operations about January 1.
This company expects to quarry low grade ore from open cuts and treat it by the cyanide process.

The Magna Charta property that adjoins the Ironclad property has several large tanks on the ground for a cyanide plant.

Magna Charta Mining and Milling Company.—This company has brought suit in the District Court against the Colorado Gold Miners Company to have title to certain property on Ironclad Hill, sold for taxes a few years ago, declared valid.

Magna Charta Gold Mining Company.—The fact has just come to light that the property of this company, which is worth about $100,000, was sold some 6 years ago for delinquent taxes for $8.61, and the deed finally delivered to another company.
The directors supposed the taxes had been paid, and are quite confident that they will be able to regain the property.

GOLD LINK.—This company is at present actively developing the Magna Charta group of claims, the Annex, Quartzite and the Magna Charta. On the Quartzite a shaft has been sunk 155 ft., and at that point a drift extended west 80 ft., and another crosscut 40 ft. northwest.
This hill is a decomposed breccia as far as explored.

A new plant of machinery is being put in place over the Quartzite shaft. This claim is located on the south slope of Ironclad hill and with the Magna Charta and Annex compose the group owned by the Magna Charta company.
All three are being worked under a $50,000 bond and lease by the Golden Link company. All of the property is being worked and the Quartzite looks as though it would add its name to the list of mines before many weeks.
The shaft is down 100 feet on a badly broken up vein and a little ore that assays pay is piled up for a first shipment. With depth the vein is becoming more solid.
