Keener Gold Mining Co. Incorporated to Work Sunset-EclipseCripple Creek—Articles of incorporation have been filed by Fred L. Ballard, Frank Costello and W. S. Nicholls of Colorado Springs for the Keener Gold Mining Co., capitalized at $1,500,000. This corporation has acquired by purchase the Eclipse, Yellow Jacket, ColumbineColumbia, Kodak, Justice, Baby JuneBabey June and other properties, containing in all 38 acres.
The main shaft of the Sunset-Eclipse, formerly equipped with a modern plant, was destroyed by incendiaries during the great labor strike. A new equipment is to be purchased and active operations resumed.
