This view show another large mine in the District, a mine where today there is only a massive big hole due to the Open Pit mining done in the District. :-( It also shows the small town of Elkton that grew up beside the mines on Raven Hill, and the tracks of M.T. using a switchback and some trestle work to reach the coal bins for the power plant of the Elkton Mine. Behind the mine at left, the Low Line grade for the Trolley, but also for the Short Line, can be seen holding several boxcars at a siding there.
