This view looking down towards Victor has been shown in some books over the years, it is taken looking down passed Portland No. 1 with the upper loop of the original High Line down Battle Mountain partly seen at about middle left, hiding in the darkness of this image.
That should date this image to have been taken before 1903 as that is the year this double horseshoe loop is closed.
