This view from the depth of the Royal Gorge shows the famous Hanging Bridge used to safely bridge a gap for the Denver & Rio Grande railroad in this very narrow canon. The train is drawn in, but the dual gauge is real making this view to have been photographed between 1890 when the gorge got dual gauged and no later then 1911 when the dual gauge is taken out.
