      General notes:
After spending work combining several maps using Global Mapper I have learned that this Shaft is NOT located on the Iron Clad Lode as I had though, is is located at the very south part of Plymouth Rock Lode, why it is so, I do not know, but it is north of the sidelineborder of the Iron Clad Lode claim!
graphic for visual presentation of text The Plat Map for the Iron Clad claim is somewhat interesting due to it showing a Trail and a Gulch in addition to the mining related stuff. Like the Discovery Shaft, with a Shaft House and just north of that, short, short distance, is a Cut and Tunnel shown in direction of north. There is also a second Shaft shown southeast of the discovery shaft.
graphic for visual presentation of text Sadly the map is too early for any traces of the High Line passing this area, in fact both the original and the newer grade of the High Line passed this property, my 1902 Claim Map indicates the marked shaft house might just has been on the grade of the newer High Line, coming from Hoosier Pass, at least very close, so would been great to have views from this area, which I don't haveā€¦
graphic for visual presentation of text In April of 2023 I do have been able to combine maps and I do see that the newer Short Line/High Line grade coming from Hoosier Pass do indeed seem to cross the Discovery Shaft so close that the USGS 1903 topomap has no markings at all of this shaft or shafthouse!
