Can you give me any information in regard to said company? Are they working the property? You will notice that the transfer office is Colorado Springs, but no street or number is given. I have written to Mr. Franc O. Wood several times, but receive no reply.

graphic for visual presentation of text Ans.: The Golden Gate group of this company, stated in the prospectus to lie "just east of the town of Victor," is two and a half miles distant, measured by section lines, and well outside the recognized gold bearing area. The celebrated Victor mine, also mentioned in the prospectus as only "a few thousand feet distant" to the northwest, is also fully two miles distant, with no known special geological connection.

Wide Awake—Lessees operating this Raven hill mine have opened a 5-ft. vein in an upraise from the first level, about 50 ft. below the surface, and have received settlement for one carload of ore at the rate of $25 per ton.
