The Atlanta lode mining claim, situated on Bull hill, adjoining the Findley mine, was sold by the Gilpin & Cripple Creek Gold Mining Co. to Frank W. Gale of Colorado Springs for a consideration of $37,243.80.

Atlanta & Roanna Mines Leased
The Atlanta and Roanna at Independence, formerly owned by the Gilpin and Cripple Creek company, now owned by the M.J. Houlahan estate, has been leased by Denver parties who are preparing for work.
The Atlanta shaft produced good ore prior to 1900 but has been inactive since that date.
