Colorado Springs, Nov. 9.—Lessee Hill and associates, who recently secured a lease on the Los Angeles mine, are now making a daily production in the neighborhood of 100 tons.

Los Angeles Workings
The only news from the camp is to the effect that Mr. Moynahan has confirmed the reported find made by diamond drill in the Los Angeles. From the end of the drift at the second level the drill was started and at a distance of about 180 feet it pierced an ore body of about six feet in width, the assay values of which showed it to be good for $30 to the ton.
graphic for visual presentation of text A shaft has been started to prospect for this mineral. The main working shaft is to be deepened and it is probable that no more prospecting will be done until a greater depth is obtained.

In addition to the eleven cars of ore shipped from the Los Angeles last week, there is about a half an acre of ground covered with ore waiting to be sorted. New and larger ore houses are being built as rapidly as possible.
