* Located at the north end of the claims, and as both Ocean View and Modak lodes cross over each other here, I can't tell for sure which claims this sort of belongs to. But, from a 1903 Portland Mine map I can see that the Modak claim was bought by Portland in 1900 so that makes this shaft at least from then on only to be on the Ocean View claim.
