Culp & Co. who works the Jefferson under lease and bond, are also working the Jolly Tar, which joins the Jefferson on the north, and they began saving ore to-day.
This vein is fourteen feet wide and the best ore assays from $50 to $60 per ton. Both properties are supposed to have the extension of the Strong vein.

Jolly Tar Lessees Opened Milling Grade
The Jolly Tar mine, within the corporate limits of Victor, owned by the Strong Gold Mining Co., under lease to Abe Flacks and associates, of Victor, has resumed shipments.
Operating between the 200 and 150-ft. points, a large body of milling-grade ore has been opened up and the initial shipment last week is estimated to be worth about $15 per ton.
