Senator Wilson, of New York, who is at the head of the company which is driving the Newell tunnel into Grouse mountain, is in camp, the guest of Mr. Newell, the superintendent.
The work at the tunnel is being pushed rapidly and the breast is about 1,100 feet into the hill.

DENVER, COLORADO.—Several new and important finds have been made by lessees in the Cripple Creek district during April. A prospecting permit has been granted by the Buffalo & Cripple Creek Gold Mining Co. to a party of local miners who contemplate work on the Newell tunnel in Grouse Mtn. The property, which is very low in grade, has been idle for several years.
