      General notes:
The Plat Maps are of 3-lodes with a combined acreage of 23.364 Acres on the original Plat and only 3.863 Acres when the Amended Plat Map is created 2 years & 3 months later. Maps themselves are boring, but for this lode claim it shows a short claim that is reduced to almost nothing on the Amended map so interesting in that perspective, and for sharing some ground and Survey Number with two other claims.
graphic for visual presentation of text Sadly there are no railroad grades drawn in from the short lived F. & C. C. switchback spur down Beacon Hill to the main shaft of this group of claims due to the maps being too early, hence also no shaft-houses or any other structures shown on these Plat Maps.
graphic for visual presentation of text The Discovery Shaft is almost along the southeastern short border, only 15 feet in from the imaginary line, inside a triangular shape that is not common ground with the other two claims in this group! On the Amended map 2.25-years later this area and the part that shares ground with the other two group claims are kept, in addition to two tiny triangles in the northwest and northeast corners, whole most of the rest of the claim is gone to other claims. Probably been some legal fights there, but who knows, I have never by February 2023 been able to find anything about this claim in mining news.
graphic for visual presentation of text Based on my Global Mapper maps overlays I see that the Discovery Shaft of this lode claim fits quite well with a Mine Structure marking on the 1903 USGS topo-map, one I for a long time thought was the Henry Adney but number is wrongly placed on the 1903 map, so I now know that what the USGS 1903 topo-map call the Old Gold Mine is the Discovery shaft of this Geneveve Lode Claim!
