Pride of Cripple Creek Reports Rich Strike
A rich strike is reported made at the Pride of Cripple Creek mine, on Ironclad hill. It is stated that a new vertical vein for the property has been encountered by short upraise from the 300-ft. level, southeast from the shaft toward the Montrose mine, adjoining.
The vein, entered in the breccia near to the breccia-schist contact, is 4 ft. to 6 ft. wide, and assays are reported as high as 8 ozs. and 10 ozs. gold per ton.
The Pride of Cripple Creek is under lease to the Pride of Cripple Creek Leasing Co.

On the sixth level of the Pride of Cripple Creek, north of the shaft about 150 ft., a flat vein has been opened which has been raised on 20 ft. The values are found in sylvanite, which streaks the talc as well as the quartz, and grab samples assay $100 per ton at the lowest.
Nothing like it has been found in the Cripple Creek district for a long time. The shoot is 6 ft. wide, or thick.
