Triumph Lessees in Rich Find
LESSEES HAVE A FORTUNE.
—————————
The lessees on the Triumph on Battle mountain think they own the world just now. Last night the shift commenced to stope at the two hundred-foot station, and are going up on a vein nearly three feet in width, that will run clean to the surface, and which runs from two to fourteen ounces in gold to the ton.
Three shifts are at work sinking the working shaft, which is going down at the rate of five feet a day and every thirty days a new station will be cut, and the vein stoped out.
The shaft is in ore and everything broken is being shipped to the smelters and mills.
Assays made yesterday show values as high as twenty ounces and none lower than three, and all kinds of ore in sight.
