      General notes:
Plat Map of 3-lodes with a combined acreage of 18.062 Acres on the Amended Plat Map, where it originally started out as 20.89 Acres. For this claim, both Plat Maps are what I would say boring. This claim shares quite much ground with the other two claims in this group, especially with the Comstock lode claim. The Discovery Shaft is located at center of claim, inside ground shared by all three claims with same survey number. There is a second Shaft way up in north, and about same distance in south direction there is a third Shaft, they appear to be about same centerline.
graphic for visual presentation of text When I now in 2023 finally had a way to overlay the Amended Plat Map to the USGS 1903 topo-map, I found that the Discovery Shaft is just north of the shaft marked as ID117 on the USGS map, and while it might be the same shaft, it is close but not close enough to me trusting those to be the same.
graphic for visual presentation of text There are many Shafts marked on the 1903 USGS map in this area, none of them match shafts on the Plat Maps, but there seems to have been lot of prospecting in this area and several working shafts been sunk being that the USGS cartographers map made many Shaft icons in this area for the 1903 topo-map. In addition to the fact many claims cross in this area indicating it to be a hot spot for the gold hopes of men!
graphic for visual presentation of text The north Shaft on the Plat Maps are located west of a curve on the F. & C. C. mainline, and the south Shaft on the Plat Maps are located just south of the same railroad grade, while the USGS map has a Prospect shaft north of the railroad grade at the south part and a shaft south of the north part which is also south of the railroad grade, with a adit nearby just east of the shaft, neither of those are in the Plat Maps sadly.
