The lessee on the Valley View claim of the Spar Company is steadily boring into Guyot hill from Anaconda gulch, 100 feet of work has been accomplished, and at the end of another 25 feet the operator expects to encounter pay rock.
The rock is already showing small seams of pay mineral.

Beacon hill territory is in great demand by scores of lessees who are anxious to secure any kind of a block of ground in this section. The El Paso, C. K. & N. and Old Gold companies are making splendid records, while the Little May, Prince Albert and Henry Adney properties are doing well.
The latest strike of importance is one in the Valley View claim of the Spar company, where a good body of ore is said to have been opened.

Valley View Lessees in Pay Ore
Pay ore has been opened up in another section of the Cripple Creek district which has heretofore been considered barren. The lessees on the Valley View claim of the Spar Company on Guyot hill have broken into a body of commercial ore in a 150-foot tunnel, and the indications are that a permanent shipper will be developed.
