The Cripple Creek & Pueblo Railroad Co. Files Mortgage
Railroad Files its Big Mortgage At Last.

Cripple Creek, Dec. 15—The Cripple Creek and Pueblo Railroad company filed the long looked for mortgage to day with the country clerk in favor of State Bank of Chicago to cover a bond issue which is being made to secure funds for the immediate needs of the company in constructing its road from this city to Pueblo.
The bonds are to bear 6 per cent interest, payable in gold.
The mortgage is for $250,000 and is given on the Bush, Gold Geyser, Gold Geyser No. 2, and Raven lodes, the dumping ground of the Ophelia tunnel and all personal property of the corporation.
It is understood that the work of building the new road will begin in a very short time.
