      This claim has one of the Shaft markings on its Plat Map also showing up on the 1903ish USGS topomap, uphill from the Cripple creek, a creek which is also drawn into the Plat Map itself. The Plat Map also has the Discovery Cut further downhill and a 2nd Cut some feet above the Shaft marking, all of these are N.W. of the creek.
      graphic for visual presentation of text Location is on a slope of Cowan Mountain, near southwest corner of the before mentioned topomap, never seen the name on any maps, but name is from the 1900 Hill's Official Manual for Cripple Creek District listing companies and claims, and several claims on same range is in that book, hence my naming. The portal of the Roosevelt Drainage Tunnel is about 1500 feet downstream measured using the Global Mapper program following the road from sideline center of claim.
