It is understood that an effort is being made by well known capitalist to secure a control of the Free Gold Mining and Milling company, whose best claim is the Northeastern, lying in close proximity to the Guess on Squaw mountain. It is reported on very good authority that the sum of $50,000, or at the rate of 5 cents a share, had been offered for the stock.
