Pappoose Properties Happenings
The lessees on the property of the Pappoose company located on Squaw mountain are sending out regular shipments, the ore returning values of from $20 to $40 to the ton.
On this property a small cyanide plant of 25 tons capacity per day has been erected, and it operation is proving very profitable for the operators.

Petrel Shipment to Golden Cycle Mill Settled
Settlement has been made on the 100 tons consignment of ore recently sent to the Golden Cycle mill at Colorado City by the Rankin brothers and Finlay, lessees operating the Petrel Gold Mining Co.'s Petrel mine on Squaw mountain.
The value of the ore was $34.60 to the ton. The gross bullion value of the consignment, the largest of record shipped at any one time from a Squaw mountain property, was accordingly in excess of $3,400.

A 6-car shipment of ore which will run about $25 a ton has just been completed from the Petrel Co.'s estate on the south slope of Squaw mountain, shipped by Finley and Rankin.
The vein is from 18 ins. to 3 ft. wide, and the length has not been determined.

Rich float has been found in the Petrel, a Squaw mountain property; and the lessee, Gus Nelson, claims to have found its source, a vein in place in the granitic country rock. Samples shown here were plastered with rusty gold.
