A party of members of the Colorado Scientific Society attending the 127th Regular Meeting held at the Masonic Hall in Cripple Creek July 1st, 1895, visited on the 2nd of July the Home Run Mine.
This claim is on the south slope of Squaw Mountain and was in the granite, and, so far as known, no dikes of phonolite, etc., occur in its vicinity.

Home Run.—A lease has been taken on this claim on the south slope of Squaw mountain by James Doyle. It is reported that he will erect a modern cyanide plant at once.

Cripple Creek.—The Home Run Mining company, located on the south slope of Squaw mountain, has begun operations on its 25 ton cyanide plant.
The outlook for this property is bright, as an abundance of well oxidized ore, ranging from $6 to $14 per ton, is being mined. Extensive improvements and additions to the mill are being planned. James Doyle, Gen. Sherman Bell and others are interested.

The Grace Gold Mining Co. has installed a six-drill compressor on its Squaw mountain property. Two drills will at once be put to work on development and air will be supplied for a like purpose to the adjoining properties— Home Run, Santa Rita, and the Nevada King tunnel.

The Home Run mine, on the southern slope of Squaw mountain, is being worked under lease by Victor interests. This property adjoins the Santa Rita, which is also reported as about to resume operations.

The Home Run mine is again active, under lease and bond. The property will be operated by Byron Caley.
