Strike at 300 Feet Colorado Springs., Colo., March 10.—A strike of importance has been made on the east slope of Beacon Hill on the property of the Commonwealth M. & M. Company. The work was started about a month ago, after a long shut down. W. M. Lewis, the manager of the company, decided to drift at the 300-foot level before sinking further. Today pay ore was encountered.
The vein is all of four feet wide. A six-inch streak returns high values. Some rich assays have been obtained and without question a new shipper will be added to the credit of Beacon Hill.
