      General notes:
Plat Map is sadly too early for any railroad grades to show up, neither do any roads show, so it is a rather boring map. But, there are shown three Shafts in the more northern part of the map, including the Discovery Shaft (that would be located on the S.W. slope of Guyot Hill).
graphic for visual presentation of text Also a Tunnel is marked out, and some source I have seen has stated that a tunnel known as the Watson Tunnel is located on this claim.
graphic for visual presentation of text —> United States Investor published in July 3, 1897 on page 716 has some words about this tunnel. Also, Morning Times of March 1, 1896 mention that the tunnel is 110 feet into Guyot hill, so those two sort of links this tunnel shown together with this lode, except that names don't match on the plat for the claim with any names linked to a Watson Tunnel... Then again, the 1900 Official Manual C.C. by Hills indicates that there are only shallow tunnels and shafts on the property so who knowns for sure, not me!
graphic for visual presentation of text My T. R. Countryman drawn claims overview map gives the Acreage to be 6.093 Acres, why it is Higher than the Acreage given on Plat Map I do now know, but I use the Countryman number in my DB.
