This enhanced and cropped view of the structures seen at the Roosevelt Drainage Tunnel site in Gatch Park, southwest of the main District, shows in greater details some of the layout at the portal part of the tunnel. Looking at the water flow, which is said to be the First Water Flow, I assume the portal is about middle of this view, behind the shed which in turn is behind the water tank.1st flow of water from Roosevelt Drainage Tunnel.

This enhanced and cropped view of the structures seen at the Roosevelt Drainage Tunnel site in Gatch Park, southwest of the main District, shows in greater details some of the layout at the portal part of the tunnel. Looking at the water flow, which is said to be from the Second Water Course cut, there is some more structures seen here, just left of the water tank there is a shed now around the smokestack, which was not seen on the image marked as the First Flow of Water. I've also seen an image where neither the shed to the left or right of this water tank is seen, presumably as they are removed after the work was done as they look in poor shape, especially the one to the right, which is also ''hiding'' the portal which is behind the right-side of this structure.Flow after second water course was cut, Roosevelt Drainage Tunnel.

This Group-Photo of workers, management and equipment at the Portal of the Roosevelt Drainage Tunnel during its construction has been used in an article in the July 1914 edition of the Mining Science journal/magazine, so it predates that date with an unknown time. No names given in neither of my sources for this image, but there are many men here.
Image shows 8-ore-cars filled with rock from the tunnel work, also three horses are held in front of the cars, uncertain if they where the motive power used to haul the cars out of the tunnel. There are also some other foot powered rail cycle types shown, a shed makes up some of the background, a compressor building of some sort as there is a large pipe coming from it into the tunnel opening.Portal of the Roosevelt Drainage Tunnel During its Construction.
