Lottie Lessees in Good Ore
Good ore is being obtained by A. J. Beckman & Co. on the Lottie claim, block 231 of the Stratton estate on Bull hill. Operations are being carried on only a few feet below the surface and samples from the vein assay several ounces per ton. Sinking is now going on, but a drift will shortly be driven on the vein in a northerly direction to cut a dike, when it is hoped some pay-ore will be encountered.

Lottie Lessees with Strike
Cripple Creek, Colorado.
Successful Leases.
A strike has recently been made on the Lottie claim on the west slope of Bull hill. J. A. Beckman and H. G. Moore are operating a lease on block 231 of the Stratton estate, which comprises a portion of the above claim, and while trenching they uncovered a vein at a depth of 15 ft. showing rusty gold in many places. One sample gave returns of $300 per ton.
The find is only 75 ft. from a shaft through which operations will be conducted. A small shipment of the higher grade ore is to be made.
