Exposition Mining and Leasing Co. Strike at 120 Feet in Midway Mine
Colorado Springs, Nov. 16.—The Exposition Mines and Leasing Company, composed of St. Louis and local mine operators, working three successful leases on the Midway, Gold Sovereign and Burns, of the Acacia Company, has made a strike within the last 24 hours on the Midway claim on Bull Hill.
At a depth of 120 feet a 12-inch streak of $40 ore has been encountered. The proximity of this property to the Wild Horse and Damon properties leads to the belief that the ore shoot may be a permanent one.

Manhattan G. M. Co.'s Property Leased & Bonded
A New York syndicate has taken a bond and lease on the Manhattan G. M. Co.'s property - the Londonderry, Wichita and Climax claims on Bull and Ironclad hills - and work will be carried out on an extensive scale.
Little wort has been done on this property since the disastrous fire at the main shaft house several years ago. The Londonderry has produced much high-grade ore.
Negotiations are under way looking to operation of the property through the deeper workings of the Wild Horse shaft of the United G. M. Co.

Climax Strike
It is reported that Edward Doyle and associates, opening on the Climax claim of the Londonderry company, on Bull hill, have made a strike at a shallow depth.
Several days ago these lessees opened up an ore body of low grade, which gave returns of from $5 to $12 in gold to the ton. It is said that these lessees have encountered a vein one and one-half feet wide which carries five-ounce values. The lessees are shipping their low grade to a cyanide mill for treatment.

Climax Worked Under Lease
The Climax is being worked under lease. The vein in this mine has been pockety thus far, but quite rich. It seems to be getting more regular in value with depth and the output which has been about seven tons a week of three to four ounce ore, will now be doubled. Londonderry Gold Mining Company owns this claim.

Climax in Great Ore
IRONCLAD BONANZAS
—————————
The Climax in Great Ore.
—————————
Ironclad hill is fast making a reputation as a producer of bonanzas. The last to lay claim to the distinction of a mine is the Climax, owned by Messrs Houlahan, McCoy and Cody and located near the Ironclad and Londonderry.
Ore has been shipped from the property for several weeks, but the fact has been kept quiet. One carload of high grade ore was shipped to Denver averaging over twelve ounces to the ton and three cars were sent to the cyanide mill that ran nearly $40 to the ton.
Work has been going on on the property for three years past, during which the owners have met with many difficulties and discouragements. The formation was broken up and the ore pockety, but perseverance was at last rewarded after a long search and running several hundred feet in drifts and crosscuts.
A permanent ore chute now seems to have been entered and the Climax takes place among the regular shippers. It is located near the Oro; the Hardwood and Maud S. of the Damon company are in close proximity and the Bonanza Queen, recently purchased by W. S. Alexander and others, is in the same locality.
