Cripple Creek, Nov. 18— A number of new leases are starting operations in various parts of the district. Probably, however, the most active hill in the district at present is Ironclad.
On this hill are a number of leases on the Jerry Johnson, the Forest Queen, Pride of Cripple Creek, Montrose, Long John, Midway, Teutonic, and several others.

Long John Lessees Reports Rick Ore Pocket
Cripple Creek—A rich pocket of quartz carrying rusty gold is reported as having been made by lessees on the Long John mine on the eastern slope of Ironclad hill. This ore, which was unexpected, is reported to run as high as 8 ozs. to the ton.
