Old Gold Mining Co. Bought More Claims
The Old Gold mining company has lately purchased three claims on Straub mountain from John Larkins for a consideration of $4,000. Those claims are the Puritan, America and May Flower and lay about one-fourth of a mile from the town of Lawrence. Each one has a ten-foot shaft with ore at the bottom of each. The company will let a contract in a few days to sink a fifty foot shaft. This makes nine claims owned and operated by this company in the district. The president of the company is C. W. Walters; H. K. Chittenden, treasurer and W. M. Downing secretary.
