Cripple Creek, Colorado.—As a result of a month's prospecting, Watson & Company, operating on the AnnieAnna C claim, on the southeast slope of Copper mountain, have found two veins.
One is in the breast of the incline shaft and shows silver, zinc, lead and some gold values. The rock will ship at $50 per ton and ore is now being saved for the initial shipment, which will be made in the course of a few weeks.
The other vein, which is about 100 feet, shows lead and silver and small gold values. The ore will run about $ 20 in gold to the ton.
Considerable development work is in progress on this property, and Watson and associates are feeling good over their find. This property has laid idle for nearly ten years. In 1895 some ore was shipped which gave average returns of about $50.
Denver.—The Lost Lillie Mining & Milling company, operating the Lost Anna mineLost Lillie and Anna C. mine on Copper mountain, has opened up an ore body at a depth of 150 feet which carries $65 per ton in gold, silver, lead and zinc.
