The first shipment ran $17 per ton, the ore being obtained from the 600-ft. level of the mine. Operations are being carried on through the Chicago & Cripple Creek adit, the workings being 2,000 ft. from the entrance. Raising is in progress on the vein, which averages 4 ft. wide, and better returns are expected from the next shipment.
