Mollie Eppert Shafthouse Wrecked and Superintendent Burned
R. H. Dougherty, superintendent of the Mollie Eppert mine at Cripple Creek, met with an accident Wednesday which came very near proving fatal. He was warming six sticks of giant powder on the forge when it caught fire. Mr. Dougherty started for the door in great haste but was not quick enough. He was badly burned and one eye nearly put out.
The shaft house is a wreck.
