Happy Year Lessees Doing Good
(From Colorado Telegraph.)

CENTRAL.

The lessees operating the Happy Year property of the Central Consolidated company, are employing a comparatively large force and are prosecuting extensive work.

As depth upon the ore is attained the ore improves steadily. The manner in which the values are going down promises well for the future. Shipments are being regularly marketed with a steady increase in their values. Sinking is progressing in the winze from the tunnel level. Besides this work, an upraise is being driven to the surface and a shaft has been started from the surface.

When completed the lessees will have a working shaft to a depth of from 150 to 200 feet. A plant will be installed and the shaft will be put down to a great depth, besides doing the lateral work to prove up and produce the ore.

The progress in the connection with the surface is necessarily slow on account of the bad air resulting from upraising and sinking at one time.
