Katinka—A mining deed has been placed on record at Cripple Creek, conveying to the Morning Glory Company the Aileen-Katinka vein, within the surface boundaries of the Aileen, August Flower and Chicken Hawk claims.
The territory was described by metes and bounds, and no acreage was specified. By this act one of the heaviest suits ever filed in the county is settled.

What is declared one of the best strikes in months has been made in the Aileen shaft, located on Guyot hill, south of the Mary McKinney, where Lessees Grigsby & Co. have opened 3 ft. of smelting grade ore and in the last 3 weeks 10 cars have been shipped from this strike.
The Aileen is owned by the Woods Investment Co. The strike was made at a depth of 600 ft.
