Vanity Fair Mining Co. Properties Working Well
The Ogallala, Vanity Fair and Mohawk, all properties of the Vanity Fair Mining company, are being worked and are all showing up well. These properties are located from a mile to two miles north of Grassy and the two former have recorded strikes in the past few days.
The Ogallala has a four-foot vein in the granite at a depth of sixteen feet and a new shaft is being built.
The Vanity Fair claim, adjoining, has a three-foot vein of porphyretic quartz which is showing up well at twenty-five feet deep.
The Mohawk is down fifty feet and a cross-cut is being run to the vein. Some high assays have been obtained, but the average on the ore is about $27.
Snider Brothers are the locators of the property and the largest stockholders.
