Info Title:
Vindicator Doing Great
The management of the Vindicator Company, on Bull Hill, is now breaking ore in the fifth, sixth, seventh, eighth, ninth and tenth levels. The eleventh and twelfth are still under water. It was learned to-day that the company has enough ore in sight to keep them busy shipping at their usual rate for two years at least. This is remarkable when it is taken into consideration that six new ore shoots have been opened up in various levels during the last few months.

Info Title:
Vindicator Closes for Shaft Improvement
The Vindicator will close down October 1 in order to enlarge the shaft from two to three compartments. This, when completed, will enable the management to double the output capacity of the mine. It is now yielding about 3,000 tons per month.
graphic for visual presentation of text The Roosevelt deep drainage tunnel will not come within two miles of the Vindicator and is not, therefore, expected to have any effect upon its drainage. The manager says that while the company subscribed liberally to the cost of the big tunnel it was merely to encourage the enterprise, without hope of benefitting by it. While they are pumping what little water comes in, when it is once pumped out they have no further difficulty. There is no long-continued volume of water at any time or in any place.
graphic for visual presentation of text A distinguished engineer says the Vindicator lies in the deepest ore zone in the district; that is to say, farther above the underlying granite than any other. Another authority believes there is a water reservoir of limited dimensions somewhere between the present workings and the granite, but it probably will not cause any serious trouble.
