      General notes:
Plat claim map holds 3-lodes, but they will be split into two groups for some reason. The original Plat Map gives a size of 13.857 Acres in Feb. 3, 1894 and reduces to 10.013 Acres on the Amended Plat Map in Nov. 26, 1898.
graphic for visual presentation of text The south most claim, Sadie Bell, will be part of the Cresson Mine while the Gold Sovereign & J. G. Blaine claims is to be grouped together as the Gold Sovereign Mine, wonder what that story is, why the separation.
graphic for visual presentation of text Either way, this claim, Gold Sovereign, is on the original Plat Map already a three-piece ground, where the Discovery Shaft is located in the southern part, about 1/10 north of the southern short edge-line. There is a Tunnel coming near this shaft from the west, which I assume is the Gold Sovereign Tunnel itself. The two smaller pieces into N.W. has no developments marked out.
graphic for visual presentation of text On the Amended Plat Map this claim has lost some ground in the south part and divided it into two-separate grounds, with the most northern marked Tract C. The two other pieces, shows that the northern most has been cut into and made into two smaller pieces, named Tract B and D. Nothing else seems to have changed om the various parts of this claim.
graphic for visual presentation of text What is not drawn here, but is showing in a way on the Yum Yum claim is that the tunnel has a portal area, most likely what is called a Tunnel Site, poking out southwest, showing up on the Hill's 1900 Manual book map, which indicates more property then the Plat Maps show, making me wonder why it is so.
graphic for visual presentation of text I did check the Draper claim also but there was nothing marked in that area on its plat map. Why this is not showing up on any other claim plat maps beside the Yum puzzles me, but there is much here I do not understand as of (18.11.2021).
