      General notes:
      I have no other info except this is mention in an Feb. 16, 1896 article in Morning Times Newspaper;
      graphic for visual presentation of text The tunnel of the Grouse Mountain Gold Mining and Tunnel Co. has penetrated into the hill about 150 feet and it is expected in 50 feet more to cut a vein at a vertical depth of 200 feet. The tunnel is located on Cripple Creek, about 1,000 feet below the Gold and Globe mill, and has ample power at all seasons of the year to turn a turbine wheel of sufficient strength to run a drill compressor, which has already been ordered.
      graphic for visual presentation of text Looking at my 1903 USGS map no tunnels are marked fitting the lenght. I have in airline view about 1200 feet two tunnels side by side around the bend on the World's Fair Placer, just into the Aurora lode. But, about 600 feet in airline view, there is a Tunnel with a structure nearby, no known claim, that might work as this one. There is also one closer to the mill site, but that one is too close according to the info given. Might not even be visible on the 1903 map, more likely I would say, that this was a short lived affair...
