Important Discovery at Mattie May An important discovery for the western portion of this district has been made on Cowan mountain, southwest of this city, by Blomquist and associates, owning and operating the Mattie May claim.
Blomquist and his partners first found the outcropping of a strong dyke and in sinking a shaft values were low, but at the present depth of about 75 ft., the ore filling the entire bottom of the shaft averages $12 a ton.
