Plat Map shows a small claim that is even smaller in owned ground department, but it has two Shafts marked, the Discovery Shaft and a second Shaft further south. None of those are marked on the USGS 1903 topo-map, so while the 1902 Hill's Manualette say there is a 50 foot shaft that has produced some ore, it was not enough for it to be deemed important enough to end up on the USGS map. What is confusing as I do not know the story though, is why the ground in this claim, more or, also is the same ground as appears on the Alpha No. 2 lode claim, both these claims has their Disc. Shafts on this piece of ground.
