Sylvanite Mine Operations with Flattering Assays Below 200 Feeet Colorado Springs, Col., Dec. 7.—Superintendent Green, operating on the Sylvanite mine, located in the Gillett section, has secured some very flattering assays in the past week from a body of ore opened in their territory.
The ore body, which measures from three to five feet in width, was encountered between the 200 and 300-foot levels of the property, and the remarkable part of the new find is that it has characteristics of the ore found in the Gold Coin, Portland and Stratton's Independence.
The superintendent has now developed the ore shoot to such an extent that he is saving his initial shipment.
