The Vindicator reduction plant treated during February 300 tons of Cripple Creek ore.

An approximation of the value of the gold produced during 1907 by the Vindicator Consolidated at Cripple Creek (cyanidation) is $54,000.

During 1907 the Vindicator plant processed 3,000 tons with an approximate bullion value of $54,000.

According to local statistics, the lessees at the Vindicator property are doing fairly well. An experimental cyanide plant is being erected at the Vindicator to treat dump ore.

A 200-ton concentrating plant is to be erected at the Vindicator Consolidated mine, and foundations are being prepared. The mill was designed by Edward P. Wiard, of Denver.
The mine is developing well, and lessees are keeping up their ore production. During the current year, four dividends, totaling $180,000, have been paid.

The Vindicator will be the second large company to enter the flotation field on a large scale. The first unit, designated as a testing unit, will be erected immediately, and will be based on the results and experience obtained from months of testing on a scale of ten tons per day.
The ultimate capacity of the Vindicator flotation plant will be in the neighborhood of 1000 tons per day. but the first unit will treat but 300 tons per day. Run-of-mine ore is to be washed before crushing for flotation. This washing process will produce a high-grade shipping product and will be beneficial to the subsequent flotation by removing oxidized portions of the ore that do not give a good recovery by flotation.
The agitation-froth process probably will be installed and thus afford an interesting comparison with the air-bubble process at the Portland mills.

CRIPPLE CREEK—The Vindicator Consolidated Gold Mining Company has completed improvements in its 600-ton flotation mill. At the present time the mill produces about 12 tons of concentrate daily, running from $25 to $30 per ton.

During January the Vindicator mill treated 16,000 tons of $2.15 in average value, total $34,400

The Vindicator mill during February, a month where the weather, deep snow preventing movements of ore, both by team and by rail, still produced 13,000 tons with an average value of $2.20 for a total of $28,600.

Flotation at Cripple Creek

The annual report of the Vindicator Consolidated Gold Mining Co. contains the following data regarding its milling operations during 1918:

On company account there was hoisted 230,304 tons of crude ore, averaging $6.15 per ton. Of this quantity, 6.67% was sorted out and sent to the Golden Cycle mill at Colorado Springs. All rejects from ore-dressing operations and the Golden Cycle shaft ore-house are delivered to the flotation plant, where they are screened and all coarse waste rejected, and the residue sent to the flotation-plant crusher.
During the year there were sent to the flotation plant from all sources 222,626 tons of ore, of in average assay-value of $2.13 per ton. Of this, 176,623 tons, assaying $1.42 per ton, was rejected by screening, and 46,003 tons valued at $4.18 sent to the flotation plant crusher.
There was shipped from the flotation plant 6209 tons of concentrate having a gross value of $206,255, equal to $34.21 per ton, and a net value after marketing charges of $171,038.
After the deduction of all operating costs the net profit from this source amounted to $27,955. The royalty paid on flotation rights was $2578, equal to 5,5 cents per ton on 46,003 tons so treated.

The Vindicator has added four concentrators to its flotation plant.

The Vindicator company has declared its regular quarterly dividend of one cent per share, a total of $15,000.
The dividend will be paid on October 25 to stockholders of record as of October 15, when it is expected that G.S. Wood, the president for the company, will advise as to conditions on the Cripple Creek property and explain the shutting down of the milling plant.

In October 1919 the Vindicator washing and flotation mill at Victor was closed, so that less ore was available for the Golden Cycle mill.
