      Plat Maps shows a oddly shaped claim that was broken into 3-pieces of owned ground, tucked inbetween other claims. The Discovery Shaft is the center part, and there is one in west and one in east end.
      graphic for visual presentation of text While the Plat Maps has a Shafthouse marked at the Discovery Shaft, the 1903ish topomap has nothing in that area, but a Portland G. M. Co. Jan. 1903 map has two shafts marked out in the ground, one appears to be same as the Discovery Shaft.
