This prospect/prospectus has sadly almost lost the connection between front and back paper, teared along the fold where it is stabled together with another paper which so far holds together at the fold - which is good as that holds a map.
The album consist of an 8 page prospect for The Clinton Consolidated Mining Company and Clinton Tunnel Site, in the Cripple Creek District, and a letter trying to sell more stocks, including a payment slip not filled out. Date is around 1903 as it mention that during 1902 company got hold of claims, and it mention a Drainage Tunnel to be soon started in Cripple Creek - the El Paso Drainage Tunnel. There is a single B/W image on the front, very much likely not of the Clinton Tunnel site, just used for illustrating purposes, as I see no trace of the roadbed of the Short Line which passes just above the tunnel portal as per map inside of the prospect.
Enjoy this little trip back to yesterday, thanking your self you did not spend money on this mine, going into Cow Mountain, far outside the productive zone!
