JENNIE SAMPLE LEASE.
Cripple Creek, Col., Dec. 16—MacCormick, Smith & Co., lessees of the Jennie Sample, are getting out ore from a three-foot vein that runs from $100 to $150 a ton for the first, and from $16 to $20 for second grade.
Three shifts are being worked, and they will get out all the ore possible during their seven months lease.

JENNY SAMPLE.
Last week 50 tons of ore were sent out from the Jennie Sample of the Gould company, 30 tons of which will run eight ounces, and 20 tons three ounces. A shipment was sent out ten days ago. Of the lot, twenty-five tons went from 11 to 12 ounces; 15 tons went 3 ounces in gold to the ton, and 30 tons was 31 ore. The entire lot was taken from the 300-foot level of the mine, a portion coming from the company's workings and the remainder from the north block which is being worked under lease.

Jennie Sample 3-Year Lease Secured
E. C. Metzaer and I. Downing have secured a lease on the property of the Jennie Sample Mining Co. Under the conditions of the lease, which is of three years duration, the shaft is to be sunk 100 ft. each year, and at least 90 shifts' work performed each month.
The royalty is 2% on the net smelter and mill returns, and it is required of the lessees that they employ no men who do not hold one of the new recommendation cards of the Mine Owners & Operators Association.
