Moose Improvements
The Moose mine, on the southeastern slope of Raven hill, one of the first producers of smelting grade ore in this district, has been restored to the shipping list by the present lessees, Russell, Roeloff and Wright.
The mine has lain idle, except for occasional attempts to work the property made by lessees, since 1904, through the difficulties miners had to contend with from water and a heavy flow of gas.
Connection was recently made with the Cresson mine, adjoining, and the workings of which are ventilated by a system of doors planned by Superintendent Richard Roeloff of the Cresson company.
